Chiefly letters from McClure to his wife, Betsy, describing events in the West Indies, London, and along the coast of France, and instructing her on the raising of their children and running of their store in Exeter; and family correspondence, two account books, and other papers, of McClure's son, John McClure (1784-1869), Exeter merchant and farmer in Springfield and Boscawen, N.H., including log (1810) of the merchant ship Ganges on a trip from Canton, China, to Boston around the Cape of Good Hope.
